Adjunct Main Store Has Moved
Hey Adjunctees, some wonderful news to report. Adjunct’s mainstore has moved. I know, again? It’s all good. We are no longer at Wonderland. I bought land and am fixing it up as we speak.I have Adjunct’s store set back up. Gearing up to release some new stuff soon. I’m also working on a new project/store with my twin brother Jess Inkpen, called Judy In Disguise. It will be a girly line of sunglasses & glasses, which will be next door to Adjunct. Stay tuned.
I’d like to talk about the Make Him Over Hunt that Adjunct was involved with in June. It was a major success! I now have over 500 subscribers on my mailing list and sales were helped tremendously. The hunt did what it was intended to do, bring much needed attention to all of the great men’s clothing in SL. I’d like to think all of those involved in making the hunt happen and those who participated in the hunt. I can’t wait til the next hunt and I’m sure you guys can’t either.
To get to the new store, just follow the old landmark and there is a new landmark giver there where the old store use to be. Just click it to get a new landmark.

Michael Jackson, We Love You
Hair: Gritty Kitty, XD
Skin: FNKY!, Antonio Pale
Pants: Adjunct, Ian C Pleated Front Dress Pant, Black
T Shirt: Heartattack & Vine, deep blue vee, White
Shoes: FNKY! Styles-Penny Black
Glasses: FNKY, Aviator III, Red
Gloves: Redgrave, Driving Gloves
Belt: Gritty Kitty,Vince’s studded belt
Socks: Glitter Socks, (made ‘em just for this outfit, not for sell, IM me, myvegancookbook Bolissima, request them and I’ll send them to you)
My first exposure to Michael Jackson’s music was as an 8 year old, when I was in the car with my older sister. She puts in an unassuming cassette tape in the tape deck. I grabbed the tape cover and studied Michael’s image. Who was this guy anyway? I had no idea how that moment would change me forever. The cassette was Thriller. As Thriller blasted through the car speakers I felt the incredible power of music for the first time. It was electrifying. I immediately became obsessed with Michael Jackson and his music. Late that year my walls would be covered with his image. I bought book after book and poured through his life story. My allowance went for all things Michael Jackson. Much to the chagrin of my older brother who could have cared less about “the freak” as he put it.
It’s funny to me now but I would write letters to Michael Jackson’s Official Fan Club asking him to adopt me. I was an unbelievably naive child. I would come home everyday from school only to find no letter in the mail from Michael himself. But the daydreams I had that maybe Michael would take me away to Neverland someday.
I too had a painful childhood. Like he was, I was abused by my Dad. I was/am an incredibly shy person who is often reclusive. I felt such affinity and empathy for the man. Through all the things he faced, the child molestation allegations and his painful childhood. Even though I never met the man, I understood him. And if we had ever met, we would have understood each other. His passing makes me feel more alone in this world. It’s not just his innocent smiling face I will miss, it’s knowing that there was always someone out there who might understand me. Now I’m not so sure.
I’m searching for the world that I come from
‘Cause I’ve been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart…
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities…
‘Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me…
People say I’m not okay
‘Cause I love such elementary things…
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I’ve never known…
Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne…
Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

Don’t let them shoot your kite, out of the sky
Beautiful lyrics in this song, sums up how I’m feeling these days. Oh the morosity. Working on new clothes which I’ll be putting in the store in a week or 2. RL is getting in the way a lot these days.

TWINSATION!
Introducing the Twinsation that’s sweeping the grid. Meet my twin brother Jess Inkpen. My real life twin brother is now in SL. Sort of. He’s not on a lot, not like me. Which one is which? Jess is the one wearing the Yo That Kern Is Tight (Gritty Kitty) T shirt. The both of us will be at The Gnarled Oak tonight so come out to meet us both. I’ve started DJing there on Sunday nights and i’ts my first officially-on-the-board set at the Oaks. I start at 9PM SLT. I’m starting my first hour off with a gaggle of geek chic beats. I have, to name a few; Takako Minekawa, Add N to (X), Devo, The Pulsars and Thomas Dolby. Then I go into my second hour with some dark and dreamy Bel Canto, October Project, Poster Children, Kate Bush and The Ocean Blue. I end things with new Peaches, Late of the Pier, Auto-Auto and DIN [A] Tod. Of course I have surprises inbetween. The two of us will just stand there looking all creepy for an added effect. Just don’t lock eyes with us…
